Katie Cassidy on the set of Gossip Girl

Daytime on the Upper East Side

Say hello to one of the newest additions to the Gossip Girl cast. Katie Cassidy will be joining the show in season 4 as Juliet Sharp, Nate's new girlfriend and a Columbia University student. Juliet has already made her mark in Manhattan with this lovely high-end, high-fashion outfit.

Juliet is wearing a dress by Yigal Azrouel. This dress is so typical Upper East Side. I can see Blair wearing something just like it. What I love about it is the nude colour, the bodycon shape, and the cute ruffled detail on the side.

As well as the dress, Juliet is wearing a Carlos Falchi handbag and a great pair of Dolce & Gabbana leopard print heels.

Miss Selfridge's Jenny Humphrey inspired dresses

Fashion for the Upper East Side rebel

Jenny Humphrey is known for her bold, daring and ever-changing style on Gossip Girl and she has certainly evolved the most over the three seasons. Recently, UK high street store Miss Selfridge teamed up with the show to create an 8-piece Gossip Girl inspired fashion line, and I think the "Jenny" dresses are definitely worth blogging about.

Personally, I don't think the other dresses (inspired by Serena van der Woodsen, Blair Waldorf and Vanessa Abrams) reflect the characters' fashion sense at all, but as soon as I saw the "Jenny" dresses (pictured below) they reminded me of her, and that was before I even knew about the line! The two dresses are a great example of how varied Jenny's style is. Her choices can never be predicted, but always reflect her personality and state of mind at the time.

To the left we have a cute little floral number (the perfect alternative to an LBD) which represents the girly side to Jenny and to the right, a casual but dark and grungy look to represent her more laid-back and artistic nature.

Blair Waldorf's standout brocade dress

Evening dress fit for day

It's been a while since I've done a Gossip Girl related post. The fashion on the show is incredible, and Season 3 wasn't an exception. Pictured above is Blair Waldorf (played by Leighton Meester) wearing a beautiful Burberry brocade dress.

The funny thing about this dress is that most people (including me) would consider it to be an evening dress for special occasions only. However, on Blair it doesn't look out of place at all. It is something she would typically wear for a day out in Manhattan with Serena van der Woodsen.

Once again Christian Louboutin features and this time it's on the streets of Manhattan. I don't think I've ever seen an ugly Christian Louboutin shoe - have you?

Serena van der Woodsen's statement boots

Miss van der Woodsen is back!

Blake Lively must love playing Upper East Side It Girl Serena van der Woodsen. Serena always makes a fashion statement whether it's at school, walking down the street, or at a high society event.

Blake is photographed on the set of Gossip Girl wearing a pair of Dolce Vita Marilyn boots. These boots are absolutely (as Perez Hilton would say) ferosh! What I love about Serena is that she is never afraid of taking risks when it comes to fashion, and pretty much all the time, that risk pays off.

Do you remember the "Valentino 360" bag that Blair was drooling over in episode 8 of Gossip Girl season 3? Well, it is now available for all you fashion lovers to buy!
